Abstract

Piezoactivity in polymers such as polyvinylidene fluoride (PVF2) has been successfully utilized as the transduction mechanism for achieving flexible acoustic sensors. The small electric output of the piezoactive polymers, however, must be amplified at the wet end and is subject to electromagnetic interference.
