Abstract

Considering fringes generated by a fiber-optic fringe projector as isometric lines will cause notable errors in the phase-height conversion step for 3D shape measurement. We proved that by replacing the constant spatial frequency with partial derivative of the interference phase this error can be substantially reduced by an order of magnitude.
