Wavelength-selective blocking and switching based on nested silicon microring resonators

Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate wavelength-selective blocking and switching units implemented by nested silicon ring resonators. The devices feature compact sizes, high extinction ratios and low crosstalk values.
