Reduction of Wavelength Dependence of Coupling Characteristics using Si/SiO2 Optical Waveguide Bending Directional Coupler

Abstract

We theoretically investigate the approach to enhance the bandwidth of couplers. We present a Si/SiO2 bent 2× 2 coupler. Its splitting ratio has a low sensitivity to wavelength and fabrication changes.
