Impact of Cascaded Multi-Band 1×2 Photonic Integrated WSS in Metro-Access Networks

Abstract

PIC multi-band WSS is evaluated with 33.3 GBd 64-QAM data. BER values below the FEC-limit for the S, C and L-bands are obtained. The 3dB bandwidth scaling of cascading WSSs is also investigated for a metro-access network.
