Application of H Control on Pilot Tones in Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers

Abstract

We propose the design and use of an H controller to suppress the effects of cross gain modulation due to supervisory pilot tones within Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers. Transient response improvements are shown through simulation.
