Transmission characteristics of highly-nonlinear-fiber-based Raman amplifier for CWDM systems

Abstract

We have developed a discrete fiber Raman amplifier (FRA) utilizing highly nonlinear fiber for 4-channel CWDM systems. By employing FRA, we have successfully achieved the transmission over single mode fiber with the length of 150km.
