Abstract

A novel Thulium-doped fiber amplifier and a S+C+L band source has been achieved with a new 1055 nm diode. We obtained a small signal gain larger than 20 dB in the 1455-1480 nm region and a Noise Figure of less than 6.5 dB for the amplifier. The source emits from 1450 to 1610nm.
