Abstract
We study the narrow-band tunable Stokes radiation of frequency generated by four-photon mixing in single-mode silica fibers under biharmonic tunable pulsed laser pumping with and () frequencies. The Stokes radiation is generated at a high conversion efficiency up to 40% at the tuning of pumping frequency difference which corresponds to a region of vibronic resonances of fused silica, while its power drops by several orders at the tuning of . It is suggested that the high efficient Stokes radiation is due to Raman amplification.
