Spatially Resolved Mitochondrial 2-Photon Imaging Using Flickering Membrane Potential Fluorescence

Abstract

Mitochondrial imaging helps to determine cell viability based on the morphology, structure, and dynamics of individual mitochondria. Flickering of 2-photon signal based on membrane potential enables resolving the shape of overlapping mitochondria in deep tissue.
