High-Speed Single-Particle Tracking: Application to Molecular Diffusion in Biological Membranes

Abstract

Very small gold nanoparticles are accurately localized with nanometer spatial precision within microseconds by detecting their scattering via interference. Diffusion trajectories of single molecules in heterogeneous membranes were revealed by high-speed single-particle tracking.
