Measuring the focal intensity distribution reveals nanoparticle trapping positions

Abstract

Images of beam bleach spots on a thin fluorescent film near the focal plane can be used to reconstruct the full 3D intensity distribution of the focus, while simultaneously pinpointing stable trapping positions of nanoparticles.
