Nonlinear coherent optical imaging by stimulated radiation microscopy

Abstract

The recently developed stimulated radiation microscopy, including stimulated Raman scattering and stimulated emission, provides distinct and powerful image contrasts for non-fluorescent species. Here we review its underlying principles and exemplary biomedical applications.
