Low-Energy-Threshold Deep-Ultraviolet Generation in a Gas-Filled Single-Ring Hollow-Core Fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate low-energy-threshold deep-ultraviolet generation in a gas-filled single-ring hollow-core fiber. We scale down the fiber through tapering to reduce the mode area and trigger the onset of deep-ultraviolet emission with a sub-200-nJ pump.
