A novel silicon nitride polarization beam splitter based on polarization-insensitive MMIs and apodized Bragg gratings

Abstract

We present the design and preliminary experimental results of a novel silicon nitride polarization beam splitter. Measured data show that a 33 dB polarization extinction ratio is achieved over a bandwidth of 18 nm.
