Cascading second-order nonlinear processes in a lithium niobate-on-insulator microdisk

Abstract

We demonstrate resonant second-harmonic generation and third-harmonic generation via cascading processes in a lithium niobate-on-insulator microdisk resonator. The cascading processes reveals simultaneous phase matching and strong mode coupling in the resonator.
