Nonlinear combining of multiple laser beams in multimode optical fiber

Abstract

We consider combining of 127 laser beams into diffraction-limited beam by beam self-focusing (collapse) in multimode optical fiber with 1mm fiber diameter. Beam quality of combined beam is not affected by moderate fluctuations of initial beams phases.
