Self-tuning fiber lasers: machine learning applied to optical systems

Abstract

We demonstrate that machine learning with adaptive control is capable of producing an efficient and optimal self-tuning algorithm for mode-locked fiber lasers. The methods can generalized to a variety of optical systems.
