Nonlinear Mid-Infrared Photothermal Spectroscopy with Fiber Laser Probe

Abstract

Nonlinear mid-infrared photothermal spectroscopy with an erbium-doped fiber laser probe is reported for a liquid crystal, using a tunable quantum cascade laser pump. Extreme nonlinear spectral enhancements are observed compared to the linear regime.
