Enhancement of a nanocavity lifetime through slow light propagation

Abstract

We show that the lifetime of a semiconductor photonic crystal nanocavity is enhanced thanks to two cooperative effects: slow light propagation base on coherent population oscillations effect and cavity nonlinear refractive index dispersion.
