Dual mode mode-locked laser based on an integrated nonlinear microring resonator

Abstract

We demonstrate a mode locked laser based on an integrated high-Q microring resonator that exhibits stable operation of two slightly shifted spectral optical comb replicas, generating a highly monochromatic radiofrequency modulation.
