Highly Coherent Supercontinuum Generation in Dispersion Increasing Fibers

Abstract

We demonstrate the use of dispersion-increasing fiber for coherent supercontinuum generation. We show that dispersion-increasing fibers allow for generating broadband supercontinuum with high coherence across octave-spanning bandwidths even for input pulses of 0.5 ps duration.
