Anderson localization and nonlinearity in one dimensional disordered waveguide arrays

Abstract

We present direct experimental measurements of Anderson localized eigenmodes and of the suppression of beam expansion in the presence of disorder, using randomized one-dimensional waveguide arrays. We investigate the effect of nonlinearity on Anderson localization.
