Bending-Induced Mode Coupling in Chalcogenide Negative Curvature Fibers

Abstract

We study the bending-induced mode coupling between the core and tube modes in chalcogenide negative curvature fibers. The fibers with a larger tube wall thickness can sustain a smaller bend radius.
