Ultraviolet Self-Diffraction Effects Exhibited by Ion-Implanted Au Nanoparticles in Silica

Abstract

The picosecond third-order nonlinear ultraviolet response in Au nanoparticles was studied by a vectorial self-diffraction technique. The success of Au nanoparticles for manipulating nanophotonic signals at the ultraviolet is highlighted.
