Simultaneous Nonlinear Up-Conversion of Dual-Frequency Terahertz-Wave Radiation

Abstract

We demonstrate simultaneous nonlinear up-conversion of dual-frequency terahertz (THz)-wave radiation from optical and electronic THz-wave sources. Superposed dual-frequency THz waves are converted to spatially distributed near-infrared beams in MgO:LiNbO3 to function as a dispersive THz-wave spectrometer.
