Abstract

We report on the demonstration of simultons, bright-dark soliton pairs, in femtosecond optical parametric oscillators. Simultons form stable sub-50-fs half-harmonic pulses with sech2 envelopes, slope efficiencies of 570%, and conversion efficiencies of 55%.
