Abstract

We report a rational harmonic mode-locked short-cavity laser employing a 151-cm-long bismuth-oxide-based highly nonlinear erbium-doped fiber. Stable and amplitude equalized 40-GHz pulses can be generated over the wavelength tuning range covering the C- and L-bands.
