Cubic and Quadratic Nonlinear Susceptibilities in Waveguides

Abstract

Cubic and quadratic nonlinear susceptibility tensor elements in lithium niobate waveguides and optical fibers were determined from measurements of pulse envelopes and power-dependent phase-changes due to self-phase modulation.
