Guided-wave half-harmonic generation of frequency combs with ∼75-fold spectral broadening

Abstract

We demonstrate a guided-wave degenerate OPO comprising a PPLN waveguide and a polarization-maintaining optical fiber. The output frequency comb centered at 1548 nm is ∼75-times broader than the pump and is phase locked to it.
