Abstract

An on-chip Brillouin microwave synthesizer is demonstrated. Phase noise of -109 dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset frequency (21.7 GHz carrier) is measured. A record low white phase noise floor for a microcavity-based microwave source is demonstrated.
