Abstract

We theoretically study the stability conditions of hyper-parametric oscillation in continuously pumped nonlinear optical resonators. We show that the oscillation can be stable irrespective of the sign of group velocity dispersion of the resonator, if the frequency of the external optical pump is properly selected.
