Near-infrared dissipative three-dimensional spatial solitons in CS2

Abstract

We demonstrate three-dimensional spatial solitons excited by near-infrared femtosecond pulses in liquid carbon disulfide. Solitons were obtained at 920 nm owing to the presence of the fifth-order susceptibility that prevented catastrophic collapse.
