Abstract

Nonlinear optical process in the XUV region is of paramount importance not only in the field of quantum electronics but also in ultrafast science. From the viewpoint of quantum electronics, high photon energy greater than material's ionization potentials is expected to induce a different type of multiphoton process. This nonlinear process in the XUV region is also indispensable for progress of attosecond science, because it is very useful for investigating ultrafast phenomena in attosecond time scale by autocorrelation method.
