Second Harmonic Generation by BaTiO3 microparticles in porous materials

Abstract

We present novel designed hybrid xerogels, where microparticles of nonlinear optical materials, especially BaTiO3, are embedded in a porous silica matrix. The synthesis and second harmonic generation properties of these hybrid materials are described.
