Modeling of Thermal Lensing in Nonlinear Optical Crystals

Abstract

An iterative approach to modeling thermal lensing in χ2 frequency conversion processes is described. Careful consideration is given to ensuring consistency of approximations. We find piezo-optic effects can partially compensate the impact of thermal dispersion.
