Distributed Feedback Optical Parametric Oscillation by Using a Photorefractive Grating in Periodically-poled Lithium Niobate

Abstract

We report the first successful demonstration of distributed-feedback optical parametric oscillation by writing photorefractive gratings in PPLN. The photorefractive DFB structures were fabricated by illuminating ultraviolet light through a photomask and by interferencing 532-nm laser beams in the PPLN.
