Control of pulse-train uniformity with passive polarizers in mode-locked optical fiber lasers

Abstract

The pulse dynamics in a birefringent optical fiber mode-locked laser with a polarizer shows that pulse-train uniformity depends on the birefringence and alignment of the polarizer with the principle axes of the fiber.
