Gap Solitons in Photonic Crystal with Quadratic Nonlinearity and Diffraction

Abstract

Gap solitons excited by spatially limited wave beams in photonic crystals are studied numerically. In the cascade limit destructive diffraction influence is shown for zerovelocity solitons. Solitons with nonzero velocity are quasi-stable provided certain conditions.
