Noise- induced synchronization of transverse modes in wide- aperture lasers

Abstract

Noise-induced synchronization in a multi-transverse mode laser withpumpnoise leads to a 52% improvement of the beam quality factor and isexplained in terms of phase - locking of the active modes.
