Measurement of the self-consistent waveguide of an accessible soliton

Abstract

Using phase-measurement interferometry we observe the self-induced waveguide of a nematicon. The measured high nonlocality of the reorientational nonlinearity of our nematic liquid crystal agrees with our (2+1)-D numerical simulation.
