Abstract

We examine impact of the fiber type as well as nonlinear management over the performance of a 16×40 Gb/s DWDM NRZ transmission system. The line is constituted of 3×100 km of G.652 or G.655 fiber with periodic dispersion compensation and hybrid Raman-EDFA amplification scheme.
