Observation of filamentation in As2S3

Abstract

We report on the observation of permanent filamentation in a slab waveguide made of As2S3, a photosensitive material. The process occurs through the self-writing of a channel waveguide. The presence of multiple filaments seems to be related to the quality of the wavefront.
