Abstract

We demonstrate numerically and experimentally that self-trapped optical dipolemode vector soliton resembles “a molecule of light”. It is extremely robust, survives a wide range of collisions, and displays new phenomena such as the transformation of a linear momentum into an angular momentum, etc.
