Controlled vortex-beam break-up in parametric wave mixing

Abstract

We experimentally achieved controlled vortex-beam break-up by induced azimuthal modulation arising from the parametric wave mixing of two beams hosting topological charges. Weak and strong depletion regimes of the fundamental field are considered.
