"Phase memory" effects and incoherent dark Y-soliton splitting

Abstract

Recent experimental and theoretical studies have shown that incoherent dark solitons are fundamentally different from their coherent counterparts [1-3]. For example, unlike a coherent gray soliton, an incoherent dark soliton does not exhibit a transverse velocity in spite of its grayness [1,3].
