Cost Efficient Optical FMCW scheme for long range high resolution detection

Abstract

High resolution optical network monitoring based on FMCW using a standard DFB laser is presented. By tracking the chirp rate dependent target position the spatial resolution is increased to 5m keeping 100km range.
