OTN Pit-Stop in Wavelength Switched Optical Networks

Abstract

A flexible “pit-stop” station for lightpaths is proposed for dynamic WSONs. It is based on a detour of the wavelengths that need 3R regeneration towards an external OTN switch connected to pairs of electronic interfaces.
