6*40Gb/s all-optical RZ-DPSK amplitude regeneration based on XPM effect in a single SOA

Abstract

We demonstrate parallel amplitude regeneration for 6*40Gb/s RZ-DPSK signals using the XPM effect in a single saturated SOA and subsequent narrow filtering. An average -1.3 dB power penalty can be achieved for all the channels.
