Abstract

A reduced nonlinear Volterra filter is applied to 14 Gbaud DP-16QAM and 28 Gbaud DP-QPSK systems for nonlinearity mitigation. An increased reach of 500 km and 1200 km, respectively, is achieved compared to the non-Volterra filter case.
